OUR MISSION

Is to produce high quality sporthorses along the same lines as they have done successfully in Germany for centuries. Wingfield Farms breeds mares which have achieved top status with their breed registries of States Premium status or similar. We believe that by choosing exceptional mares which have consistently produced high quality offspring and have reached top status in their registries that we are laying the foundation for success with their foals. We choose the finest mares from Hanoverian, Oldenburg, Holsteiner, and Selle Francais bloodlines. We are breeding with the goal of producing riding horses with good dispositions, conformation, gaits and rideability for the professional and amateur alike. We breed for horses that are suited for Dressage and Jumping, and put much emphasis on the value of a horse with combined abilities. We choose stallions for our mares based on proven breeding patterns rather than "the flavor of the month." Most of our mares have been imported from Germany and competed there successfully before their import. Whether you seek to raise your next equine partner from a foal or choose a horse that is already going under saddle, or even competing, we'd like to help.

WE OFFER

Horses with the best bloodlines and strive to produce the best youngstock we can by continued research into the newest techniques and trends in equine reproduction. In addition to breeding, we can also help you import the horse of your dreams whether that be a foal, young riding prospect, schoolmaster, broodmare, or stallion prospect. We go on buying trips to Germany a few times a year and can assist you in all aspects of your purchase, from finding the right horse to vet checks, setting up import and quarantine, to final delivery to your facility.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Here at Wingfield Farms we believe in natural horse care and by that we mean caring for our horses in a way that matches their dietary, physical, and emotional needs as close to what they could find and achieve in a natural setting as possible. We feed our horses high quality grass hays and legumes, plus supplement them with all natural sources of free choice fed salts & minerals, with daily antioxidants and herbs. Horses as grazing creatures had access to many different plants and minerals which they do not have access to while in our care, unless we provide it. Below we have put together some links for you that cover care of your horses and challenge some of the ways horses are being cared for and how each of us can better care for our equine friends needs. Below you will find the products we use for our horses here and links that cover all aspects of "natural horse care"; not just limited to horses we also believe in these same "all natural, organic" products for humans and pets too!
